PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens system which is well corrected for various aberrations, and particularly well for chromatic aberration, and provides superior optical performance.SOLUTION: A zoom lens system is characterized in that; the system comprises a positive first lens group, negative second lens group, positive third lens group, and positive fourth lens group in order from the object side; the first through fourth lens groups move in an optical axis direction when zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end; the fourth lens comprises a positive single lens, negative cemented lens group, and a positive single lens in order from the object side; and the system satisfies the following conditional expression (1): νd4Gpfb>73 ...(1), where νd4Gpfb represents an Abbe number, for the d-ray, of at least either of the two positive single lenses located on the most object side and the most image side in the fourth lens group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
