PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating trigeminal headaches, such as migraine and migraine-like headache, as well as other cerebrovascular symptoms associated with pain and/or inflammation.SOLUTION: The invention provides a composition for use in the treatment of pain that is a headache caused by migraine, a trigeminal nerve, autonomic headache, or a vascular condition, by administering an effective amount of at least one kind of therapeutic agent to the region along the eye socket, the base of the auriculotemporal branch of the trigeminal nerve, the auriculotemporal branch of the greater occipital nerve, the sternocleidomastoid of the temporomandibular joint, the postauricular area, the intranasal trigeminal nerve terminal, or the intranasal parasympathetic nerve terminal, or to a combination thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
