On a secondary side of a DC/DC converter for DC/DC conversion of the DC power of a DC power supply and the application of the same to a load that is connected in series to a smoothing reactor connected to the output side of a rectifier circuit having a plurality of semiconductor switching elements for rectification, a secondary side current return circuit is provided that has a series circuit in which a secondary side current return diode and current return reactor are connected in series and that diverts the load current flowing through the load and returns the same during a period when the voltage of the DC power supply is not being applied to the primary side of a transformer. |
