PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device that can be excited with short-wavelength visible light and emit narrow-band green light and/or red light.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes a phosphor and a solid light-emitting element. The excitation spectrum of the phosphor has an excitation band based on absorption of Cecontained in the phosphor, and the excitation band has an excitation peak within a range of not less than 400 nm to less than 460 nm. The emission spectrum of the phosphor emits a green fluorescence component based on Tbcontained in the phosphor, and the emitted light intensity at the wavelength of 520 nm in the emission spectrum is smaller than 30% of the maximum value of the emission spectrum. The solid light-emitting element emits short-wavelength visible light having a peak within a range of not less than 380 nm to less than 470 nm, and the short-wavelength visible light excites the phosphor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
