PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel stairway structure that enables a tread dimension to be secured without enlarging an installation space for a stairway inside a house, and furthermore enables both a healthy person and an elderly person to select a virtual step height dimension.SOLUTION: A sub-stairway 3 is installed adjacently to a main stairway 2 having a tread dimension of 210 mm or more and a step height dimension between 230 and 320 mm, thus keeping a virtual step height dimension to 160 mm or less when ascending and descending the stairway by stepping alternately on a tread 21 of the main stairway 2 and a tread 31 of the sub-stairway 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
