PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal composition containing a monomer, which shows little polymerization temperature dependency of electro-optic characteristics in a polymer stabilized blue phase (PSBP), and which has a low drive voltage of the obtained PSBP, a large contrast ratio and a wide polymerization temperature margin.SOLUTION: An optically anisotropic liquid crystal composition is provided, comprising a monomer containing a compound represented by formula (1), an achiral liquid crystal component T, and a chiral compound. In the formula, Xto Xeach independently represent H or a methyl; Zto Zeach independently represent -O-,. -OCO-, -COO-, -OCOO- or a single bond; and n1 to n3 each independently represent an integer of 12 to 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
