PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retarded styrene-based resin compsn. which not only furnishes a high level flame retardance without using a halogen-based org. compd. but also is excellent in mechanical properties and heat resistance, a manufacturing method therefor and a molded article therefrom. SOLUTION: This flame retarded resin compsn. is obtd. by blending 100 pts.wt. of a styrene-based resin (A), 1-50 pts.wt. of a PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) resin (B), 1-50 pts.wt. of an inorg. filler (C) and 0.1-20 pts.wt. of red phosphorus (D). It is desirable to further blend 1-30 pts.wt. of one or more resins (E) selected from th group consisting of a phenol resin and a phenoxy resin.
