<p>The invention relates to a method for the transmission of sensor data from a sensor component to one or several receivers, whereby, on a control signal, at least short-term additional data are transmitted instead of the sensor data. During said transmission of additional data, only a given limited value range of the value range available for transmission of sensor data is used such that, even for receivers which do not recognise the transmitted data as additional data, error functions are avoided. Thus, in particular, that value range of the sensor data signal, which is considered as noise on the parameter for measurement, or for the sensor component and thus is not evaluated by the receiver in normal signal operation, is used for transmission of the additional data. For occupant protection systems, the range value of a sensor data signal which is not critical to safety, thus does not lead to a release of the passenger protection system, can correspondingly be used for transmission of additional data.</p> |
