发明名称 METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LONG-LENGTH MAGNESIUM MATERIAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a long-length magnesium material excellent in plastic workability and the long-length magnesium material obtained by this manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A long-length worked material is obtained by manufacturing a cast material by casting pure magnesium or a magnesium alloy and applying plastic working to the cast material. The plastic working includes hot working which is accompanied with the reduction of a cross section and performed at≥250°C. Since an oxide is generated in the vicinity of the surface of a material to be worked during the working by performing the hot working, the oxide is present in the vicinity of the surface of the worked material. There is a risk such that the oxide makes start of cracks and the breaking of a wire when performing plastic working (secondary working) such as wire drawing and forging to the worked material. Thus, the oxide which makes start of the cracks and the breaking of the wire is effectively removed by removing the surface layer of the worked material, thereby the secondary workability is improved.
