TRANSPARENT ARTICLE FORMED WITH INFRARED RAY CUTTING FILM AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent article formed with an infrared ray cutting film being excellent in wear resistance in spite of containing ITO. SOLUTION: The transparent article comprises a transparent base material and the infrared ray cutting film which is formed on the surface of the transparent base material, which contains an organic substance and an inorganic oxide containing silica as a main component, which is not peeled from the base material after performing the Taber abrasion test of JIS R 3212 and which contains at least one kind selected from the group consisting of compounds derived from sulfuric acid and a sulfate ion and contains ITO. The transparent article can be produced by removing at least a part of a liquid component contained in a coated forming solution while keeping temperature at 300°C or lower after coating the forming solution to form an organic-inorganic composite film on the surface of the transparent base material.
