PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sound generating toy with confectionery full of increased interest in which confectionery is rotated at an appropriate speed by manual turn handle to generate a sound at an appropriate speed. SOLUTION: A sound generating toy with confectionery 1 rotatably holds confectionery 3 in the upper part of a toy body 10 by means of a support bar 2. The toy body includes a rotation driving mechanism portion 11 which rotates and drives confectionery through the support bar, a manual turn handle 12 arranged rotationally on the outside of the main body so as to provide rotary power to the rotation driving mechanism portion, a switching means 13 to switch on/off with a turn of the manual turn handle, a sound generation means 14 to generate a sound when this switching means turns on, and a speaker 15 to output the sound from the sound generation means.
