PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that includes a heater having an excellent heat conduction function, can suppress an increase in temperature at the ends, and can reduce a running cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device including: a belt-like fixing member that rotates in contact with an unfixed image; a pressing member that forms a fixing nip part with the belt-like fixing member; a heater member that heats the belt-like fixing member; and holding means for holding the heater member, where the heater member comprises a long base material that extends in a direction orthogonal to a recording medium conveyance direction and a heating element that is formed on the fixing nip part side with respect to the base material, and includes a sliding member that covers a surface of the heater member with which the belt-like fixing member is in contact and a heat transfer member that is arranged between the sliding member and heater member to transfer a heat from the heater member to the belt-like fixing member; the sliding member is formed through surface treatment of at least a surface on the fixing nip part side of the heat transfer member and has a conduction member removably attached thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
