Provided are an induction cooker and a program therefor capable of selecting multiple heating operation modes and providing accelerated convective heating or heating suitable for stewing. The induction cooker has an annularly shaped main heating coil (MC), four or more flat-shaped sub heating coils (SC) which are arranged in the proximity of both sides of the main heating coil (MC) and have a width smaller than the radius of the main heating coil, inverter circuits (MIV, SIV) for respectively supplying the main heating coil (MC) and the sub heating coils (SC) with induction heating power, and an activation control circuit (200) for directing the inverter circuits to perform an operation mode. The activation control circuit (200) provides a period for supplying electricity only to the main heating coil (MC), a period for supplying electricity only to the sub heating coils (SC) and a period for supplying electricity neither to the main heating coil (MC) nor to the sub heating coils (SC), and directs the inverter circuits (MIV, SIV) to perform the operation of repeating these three periods, thereby heating a pot from the outer periphery thereof and changing the parts to be heated with time. |
