PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling house with inner balcony sufficiently exhibiting the comfortability, functionability, openability, and novel designability of the dwelling house and in which a free space available for various applications such as hobby space and private space are combined functionally and effectively in a building in the relation with the inner balcony. SOLUTION: A dwelling house having an inner balcony 25 in a building 1 is formed so that a free space 26 adjacent to the inner balcony 25 is disposed in a building 1 and a window formed of an openable sash 33 is provided on the boundary between the free space 26 and the inner balcony 25. A ceiling near the window is positioned over the sash 33, and a cabinet is provided between the ceiling near the window and the ceiling of the free space.
