PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof wall capable of achieving reduction of weight and manufacturing improvement and securing favorable transportability and workability while securing soundproof performance bearing comparison with conventional sound proof walls and further, imparting fovorable durability and weatherability. SOLUTION: At least two membrane bodies 12, 14 are parallelly arranged with a space therebetween and at least one of a sound insulation medium and a sound absorption medium is provided in the space 16 between the membrane bodies 12, 14. A required number of supports 18 are erected at the installation position of the soundproof wall 10. A pair of two membrane bodies 12, 14 are parallelly attached to both faces of the supports 18 so as to put the supports therebetween while continuously arranging across the adjacent supports 18. A sealing off member 30 for the bottom is attached to close the space 16 at the lower part of the pair of membrane bodies 12, 14. A sound insulation medium or a sound absorption medium is inserted in the space 16 between the membrane bodies 12, 14. After completion of insertion of the sound insulation medium or the sound absorption medium, a sealing off member 32 for the top to close the upper part of the membrane bodies 12, 14 is fitted.
