PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic pavement material excellent in weatherability, durability, the reduction effect of vehicle noise and wet skid resistance by binding a vulcanized rubber chip by a resin binder, and providing the first layer of high hardness and the second layer of low hardness. SOLUTION: A porous elastic pavement material binding a vulcanized rubber chip by a resin binder has at least two layers provided with the first layer of high hardness being a road surface and the second layer of low hardness on the lower layer thereof, and the whole percentage of voids is made 30-40%. ASKER-CS hardnesses of the first layer and the second layer are preferably made 75-90, and 50-65 respectively. The first layer preferably comprises the particle vulcanized rubber chip of an average particle diameter of 3-10 mm as a main component, and the second layer preferably comprises the particle vulcanized rubber chip of an average particle diameter of 3 mm or lower, or the short fibrous vulcanized rubber chip of an average diameter of 0.5-2 mm, and an aspect ratio of 3-40 as a main component. Thereby an elastic pavement material excellent in weatherability, durability for vehicle running, the reduction effect of vehicle noise, and wet skid resistance can be obtained.
