PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pocket type file smaller than a conventional type by assuring durability of a bottom edge structure and minimizing a depth responsive to a document size. SOLUTION: The pocket type file 10 comprises cover body 13, and a pocket 15 bound with an inner surface side of the body 13. The pocket 15 is formed in the case of sending a material of winding a tubular resin sheet in a rolled state in a predetermined direction. That is, an opening 16 is formed by cutting one end side of the sheet along a feeding direction of the sheet, while a bottom edge of the pocket is formed at a folding edge of the other end side opposed to the opening 16. A side edge 18 is constituted of a fusion-bonded portion provided at an interval responsive to a lateral width of a document, and a reinforcing fusion-bonded portion 22 is provided at the opening 16 side along the fusion-bonded portion 20. The obtained many pockets 15 are fixedly bound through fusion-bonded portions 14 in the state disposed at the inner surface side of the body 13.
