PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive force accumulating separation member capable of smoothly and positively separating the lowermost tray without applying to the tray an impact by using a separation force accumulated by an insertion operation of a separating pawl member. SOLUTION: In this destacking device for a tray feeder inserting a separating pawl member 2 between a lowermost tray and the second lowermost tray of stacked trays and separating the lowermost tray by lifting up the separating pawl member 2, an accumulated force energizing member 11 applying a downward force to the lowermost tray is provided on a tray supporting pawl of the separating pawl member 2. The accumulated force energizing member 11 is detachably attached to the tray supporting pawl, a V-shaped projecting part 13b slanted obliquely downward is provided on the accumulated force energizing member 11, and this V-shaped projecting part 13b is used as an elastically deformable accumulated force energizing part 13.
