PURPOSE: A system for diagnosing vehicle performance by using a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to connect a mobile terminal where a checking application is mounted with a vehicle, and to transmit checking data received from the vehicle to a vehicle checking service server, so that a user can conveniently check the vehicle with a checked result through the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a mobile terminal in which a checking application is mounted is connected to a vehicle(S1), checking data is transmitted to the mobile terminal from the vehicle by automatically executing the checking application, or by a key operation of a user(S2). The mobile terminal transmits the checking data received from the vehicle to a vehicle checking service server(S3). An analysis/diagnosis module of the vehicle checking service server analyzes a failure cause and whether a corresponding vehicle is broken down, and transmits an analyzed result to the mobile terminal(S4). |
