PURPOSE: A system for supplying an image synthesis service to a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor, and the mobile communication terminal having an image synthesis function and a method thereof are provided to receive user image data to synthesize the user image data with selected background image data, so that a user can set the synthesized image data at the user's interest. CONSTITUTION: A data transmitter/receiver(103) transmits/receives data between user terminals(119,121). A controller(105) transmits background image announcement information while receiving specific background image select information and mobile telephone number information, and controls a receiving process of the user image data and a transmission process of synthesized image data. A storage(107) stores the user image data, and stores the encoded synthesis image data. A decoder(109) decodes the user image data. A background image DB(113) stores various background image data. A synthesizer(115) synthesizes the decoded user image data with selected background image data, and generates the synthesized image data. An encoder(111) encodes the synthesized image data, and stores the encoded data in the storage(107). |
