PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual package of absorbent article which can be easily opened with a single hand and have its absorbent article taken out easily and quickly. SOLUTION: This individual package 10 is provided with an absorbent article 1 (referred to as an article 1 hereinafter) and a packaging material 5 consisting of a wide portion 51 which is larger than the article 1 in width and a narrow portion 52 which is smaller than the wide portion 51 in width. The article 1, along with the narrow portion 52, is longitudinally rolled up and/or folded into a roll R. The wide portion 51 is folded into two in the length direction of the article 1, wrapping up the roll R, with each of its overlapping edges 51b in the width direction being joined to form a seal portion 53. The longitudinal length of the seal portion 53 is less than a third of that of the unfolded article 1. When the package is held between a thumb and the other fingers, the seal portion 53 can be completely peeled off by simply moving either side of the thumb or the other fingers in one direction.
