A sulfur, ginger and loess-containing pill is provided to detoxify a sulfur-containing mineral substance with ginger, garlic and licorice so that the resultant detoxified sulfur-containing water is formed into a pill for enhancing growth of livestock and preventing diseases. A sulfur, ginger and loess-containing pill is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: crushing 30% of a sulfur-containing mineral substance, 30% of ginger, 30% of loess, 10% of garlic and 10% of licorice, individually; introducing the crushed ingredients into a non-woven bag; and boiling the non-woven bag in an iron pot at 100 deg.C for 30-35 hours so that the toxicity of the sulfur-containing mineral substance is stabilized by the ingredients contained in ginger, garlic and licorice and the catalase of loess.
