Methods for the production of complement Factor H preparations from human plasma are described, starting from side fractions of established/licensed industrial large scale plasma fractionation processes. The production methods comprise the recovery, purification and formulation of complement Factor H as well as suitable methods to inactivate and or remove viruses.
