摘要 The present invention relates to carbon fibers prepared from hybrid precursor fibers and comprising isotropic pitch-based carbon fibers and, specifically, to carbon fibers prepared from hybrid precursor fibers, wherein the carbon fibers comprise 30-60 wt% of isotropic pitch-based carbon fibers on the total 100 wt% thereof, and have a tensile strength of 2.0 GPa or higher. The carbon fibers prepared from hybrid precursor fibers, according to the present invention, can compensate for low mechanical properties, which are disadvantages of the isotropic pitch-based carbon fibers, and can solve problems of high prices and impossibility of melt spinning, which are disadvantages of existing polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fibers, by mixing PAN with isotropic pitch-based carbon fibers as a backbone, followed by stretching, stabilization, carbonization, and the like. Therefore, carbon filaments having a tensile strength of 2 GPa or higher and an elongation rate of 2% or more, which correspond to the minimum requirements of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRPs), can be prepared. The carbon fibers according to the present invention can be applied to CFRPs, and can substitute for CFRP, including existing PAN-based carbon fibers, due to excellent physical properties and low prices.
