1. A method for manipulating call elements that represent communication media messages, the method comprising:
A) receiving messages from multiple message originators via two or more message services including at least a telephone message service and including at least one of a short message service (SMS) and an electronic mail (e-mail) message service, the messages including an originator identifier (ID); B) generating a plurality of call elements, with each call element representing a particular message and sender profile information associated with the originator ID for the particular message; C) moving the call elements to one or more queues; D) choosing a selected queue for processing; E) for each call element in the selected queue representing a particular telephone message, processing the selected queue by the steps of:
i) sending a notification message to a recipient associated with the originator ID for the particular message; andii) after a reply is received indicating that the recipient is available, then initiating a return communication to the recipient. |
