PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus including means that supports an operation of highly efficiently changing an imaging sequence for satisfying SAR (Specific Absorption Ratio) standard values.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment, for sequentially performing imaging of a plurality of imaging units can change an imaging sequence of each imaging unit by a manual operation. The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a setup unit that can set at least an individual imaging time of each imaging unit and an imaging sequence of each imaging unit; an individual SAR calculation unit that calculates an individual SAR obtained by averaging the SAR of each imaging unit by the individual imaging time, for every imaging unit; a display unit that displays, before starting the imaging, an individual SAR display in which a magnitude relation of the respective calculated individual SARs is associated with each imaging unit; and an imaging sequence change unit that can change the imaging sequence for every imaging unit by a user's operation on the basis of a reference to the individual SAR display. |
