PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment agent for manufacturing a nonwoven fabric excellent in entangling property and scum prevention and less in foam formation, a short fiber excellent in entangling property and scum prevention during processing the nonwoven fabric and less in foam formation, and the nonwoven fabric good in formation.SOLUTION: There is provided a treatment agent for manufacturing a nonwoven fabric containing a component (A) which is aliphatic acid having 4 to 11 carbon atoms and/or a salt thereof with weight percentage of the component (A) in a nonvolatile content of the treatment agent of 20 to 95 wt.%. The aliphatic acid is preferably branched aliphatic acid. A component (B) which is organophosphate ester and/or a salt thereof is further added and weight ratio of the component (A) to the component (B), (A/B), is 1 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
