PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide selective myostatin antagonists (including antibodies), nucleic acids encoding them, and methods of making and using them, for myostatin, also referred to as growth/differentiation factor 8 (GDF-8).SOLUTION: There is provided an isolated myostatin-specific antibody comprising at least one light chain and at least one heavy chain. The light chain comprises a constant region and a variable region that comprises three complementarity determining regions (CDRs). The heavy chain comprises a constant region and a variable region that comprises three CDRs. The light chain CDRs and the heavy chain CDRs have specific sequences.SELECTED DRAWING: None
