PURPOSE: A structure for opening and closing a drain valve of an air tank is provided to open and to close the drain valve easily even in a cramped space. CONSTITUTION: A drain valve is for discharging the air in the bus air tank(11) to the outside. The structure for opening and closing the drain valve is composed of:a moving load(30) being connected to the lower unit of a moving member(41) of a drain plug(20) for opening and closing the drain plug; and a fixing instrument(50) set in a side of the air tank for supporting the moving load. Therefore, the drain valve can be opened and closed from a remote location from the air tank, so the cramped space of a bus can be used maximally for increasing a using efficiency.
