PURPOSE: An optical disk player with equalizer using lookup table is provided to improve quality of regeneration signal by removing inter-symbol interference and asymmetrical signal. CONSTITUTION: The optical disk player comprises a pickup section, a free amplifier, an equalizer, a slicer, a digital signal processor(DSP), and a controller. In the optical disk player, the pickup section converts reflected optical signal in optical disk to an electrical radio frequency(RF) signal. The free amplifier amplifies RF signal converted in the pickup section. The equalizer signal processes the RF signals using a look table by a control signal and amplifies the RF signals and adds each RF signals. The slicer transforms analog signal in the equalizer to a digital signal. The DSP demodulates the digital signal and corrects an error and generates an error rate of data. The controller controls the slicer and the DSP.
