PURPOSE: An AU3 frame arranging apparatus which multiplexes and outputs an AU3 signal to be transmitted to an AUG signal or rearranges and outputs a received AUG signal in an optical subscriber transmitter is provided. CONSTITUTION: The AU3 frame arranging apparatus in an optical subscriber transmitter, the apparatus comprising: a signal converter(311) for receiving AU3s in series and converting it into parallel signals having a predetermined transmission rate; an AUG forming section(312) for converting the parallel AU3s from the signal converter(311) into an AUG signal; a testing section(321) receiving a predetermined AUG signal and performing a local loop test and a remote loop test with respect to the predetermined AUG signal; a pointer interpreting section(322) for extracting a pointer from the AUG signal, and producing a receiving data clock with respect to a JI offset clock and each AUG signal; an AU3 data controller(323) for writing an AU3 signal included in the AUG signal in a buffer using the receiving data clock, and reading and outputting the AU3 signal stored in the buffer by using a system clock as a transmitting data clock; an AU3 frame arranging section(324) for calculating a difference between the transmitting and receiving data clocks, and forming a pointer word having the difference as a new pointer value; and a series/parallel converter(325) for forming an AUG signal having an AU3 signal outputted from the AU3 data controller(323) and the pointer word produced by the AU3 frame arranging section(324) and converting it into a serial signal.
