PURPOSE: A no-load controlling method for a microwave oven is provided to minimize the output in no-load, and to judge the no-load by the temperature increase slope. CONSTITUTION: The no-load controlling method that judges the temperature increase slope to the target temperature to judge the no-load state comprises:first heating for shorter time(T1) than the time for normal heating if the no-load is judged by judging the temperature increase slope; heating for a certain time(T2) under the state of decreasing the output more;:Thereby, a microwave oven is prevented from overheating by reducing of the heating time and by controlling the heating temperature to fall.
