PURPOSE: A structure is provided to protect thermal deformation of cathode supporter of an electron gun for a cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: Disclosed is a structure to protect thermal deformation of a cathode supporter(43) of an electron gun for a cathode ray tube. The cathode supporter(43), eyelets(430), a glass(431) and a glass supporting globe(432) are in the structure. The eyelets(430) surround three cathodes. The glass(431) supports the eyelets(430). Here, plural protrusions are formed at one of length side of the glass(431) and the glass supporting globe(432). Also, plural slots are formed at facing areas for the protrusions. Thereby the coupling force between the protrusions and slots protects thermal deformation of the glass supporting globe(432).
