PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct a curl by providing a pressing plate for pressing at least the feeding directional tip part of a plurality of recording mediums stacked on a manual inserting tray from above. SOLUTION: This sheet correcting device is formed of an L-shaped moving cover 52 in a side view, a rectangular plate-like flexible member 54 fixed to the tip thereof, a pressing plate 56 rotatably fixed to the moving cover 52 by the flexible member 54, and a lever link mechanism for rotating the moving cover 52 between a first position and a second position. Holes 52b are formed on the upper parts of two side walls of the moving cover 52, respectively, and pins formed on a side cover are inserted thereto. An arm is moved up by the operation of a moving lever, and the upper end of the arm is slid from the bottom to the top within an elliptic hole 52c, whereby the moving cover 52 is moved counterclockwise about the pin, and the pressing plate 56 is moved from the first position (a) to the second position (b) to press a recording medium 58 from above.
