PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaxing chair comprising a seat back portion having an elevatable massage mechanism portion; a seat portion arranged on the seat back portion; and a supporting portion for supporting the seat back portion and the seat portion, wherein assembly and disassembly work of the seat back portion can easily be carried out. SOLUTION: A cover member 6 is formed so as to have a string member 5 along a surface of a seat material 4. A resin frame 8 is formed so as to have an opening 7 for receiving a massage mechanism portion at its nearly central portion and a stopper for fixing the string member 5. The cover member 6 with the string member 5 fixed to the stopper is attached to the resin frame 8. A seat back portion 1 is formed by attaching the resin frame 8 to a skeletal frame 9.
