PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a first stereoscopic image consisting of an image for right eye and an image for left eye on a screen, and to display a second stereoscopic image on the first stereoscopic image. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image display device is provided with a RAM 52 to store the data of the horizontal scanning line of the image for right eye and the data of the horizontal scanning line of the image for left eye by every other line, a display 55 to display the stereoscopic image consisting of the image for right eye and the image for left eye, a MPU 59 to display alternately the image for right eye and image for left eye stored in the RAM 52 on the display 55 so that a parallax exists, and shutter glasses 4 to switch a pair of right and left lens parts alternately in a perspective state and in a light shielding state in timing of switching the image for right eye and the image for left eye displayed alternately on the display 55. When the second stereoscopic image is furthermore displayed on the first stereoscopic image displayed on the display 55, the MPU 59 makes the data of the horizontal scanning lines of each stereoscopic image data coincide, and displays them. |
