PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast reception system that can quickly select a desired channel. SOLUTION: An input section 112 of a remote controller 110 is provided with a button that can enter the intention of a user that the user desires to view or not to view a program in each channel while zapping. Then the entered intention of the user is transmitted to a broadcast receiver 100 via a remote control communication section 111 and stored in a storage section 104. A processing section 103 gives an instruction of selecting or not selecting a corresponding broadcast signal as to each channel to the tuner section 101 on the basis of the storage section 104. Thus, in the case of 2nd and succeeding zapping for channel selection, since the objects of desired channels are limited to some degrees, a desired channel can quickly be selected. Furthermore, the stored information can be initialized at a lapse of a prescribed time by the entry of a user or a timer.
