PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-shift register which surely operates even if a clock signal has a low driving ability. SOLUTION: The X-shift register 110A is configured of a shift register 111 cascading each of the shift register unit circuits Ua1-Uan+2, and a clock control circuit 112 cascading each of the control unit circuits Ub2-Ubn+2. Each of the control unit circuit Ub2-Ubn+1 supplies an X-clock signal XCK and an inverse X-clock signal XCKB to the shift register unit circuits Ual-Uan+2 only for the period when either the signal voltages of the connection points A2-An+2 of the corresponding shift register unit circuits Ub2-Ubn+2 or those of the connection voltages A1-An+1 of the preceding stage become active.
