<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode active material particle powder precursor for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has high discharge voltage, is high in discharge capacity and is excellent in cycle characteristics; a method for producing the positive electrode active material particle powder precursor; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: Positive electrode active material particle powder comprises a compound having a spinel structure containing at least Li, and Ni and Mn. When the positive-electrode active material particle powder is indexed with Fd-3m in X-ray diffraction and B represents a half-value width for each peak position 2θ (10-90 degrees), the inclination of a straight line obtained by the least squares method in a graph with sinθ as the horizontal axis and Bcosθ as the vertical axis falls within the range of 3.0×10<SP POS="POST">-4</SP>to 20.0×10<SP POS="POST">-4</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
