The tubular spring (1) for an electrically-controlled piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator is formed as 2 half shells (1a,1b), which are separated from one another in a longitudinal plane, connected to an actuator head and an actuator foot via weld seams. An independent claim for an assembly method for a tubular spring for a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator for a fuel injection valve is also included.
