PURPOSE: An actuator having a circulating filter and a disk drive comprising the actuator are provided to dispose a circulating filter on a side of a swing arm in order that the circulating filter can be faced in an air moving direction, thereby improving a foreign substance scavenging efficiency inside a disk drive. CONSTITUTION: A swing arm(132) is rotatively installed inside a disk drive. A suspension(133) supports a slider(134) where a head is mounted, in connection with a front section of the swing arm(132). A filter installation groove(160) is formed on a side faced with an air moving direction, and a circulating filter(170) for filtering foreign substance within a moving air is inserted into the filter installation groove(160). Supporting grooves(162) are formed on both sides of the filter installation groove(160), while a supporting portion(172) is inserted into the supporting grooves(160).
