PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an effective image only by weeding out an ineffective image with a constantly maintained frame rate. SOLUTION: A camera system includes a signal processor for outputting an image signal after the image signal is processed; an output controller 16 having the image signal supplied thereto, for outputting the image signal and a synchronization signal, respectively, controlling the output of the synchronization signal according to a first control signal, and when the above synchronization signal is not output according to the first control signal, inhibiting an ineffective image signal from being output to the system in the succeeding stage; a controller 18 having a second control signal input at predetermined timing, for generating the first control signal so as to eliminate the synchronization signal at predetermined timing according to the second control signal; and a memory 17 for storing a data for generating the second control signal to the control section.
