<p>The method involves recognizing free fall of the device and a measure is accomplished by recognition of the free fall. The free fall is recognized depending on a pressure variable (120), which represents the ambient pressure. The device has fixed disk and consists of measure to lock the reading and writing head. The temporal change in pressure variable is compared with pre-determined threshold value and the free fall is recognized, if the threshold value exceeds. An independent claim is also included for a device for prevention of damage of a device, has medium for determining free fall of the device.</p> |
