PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic contactor which can prevent an arc-extinguishing cover from being blown off at a time of inner pressure rise due to arc gas without using a terminal cover and can easily attach and detach the arc-extinguishing cover. SOLUTION: In two diagonal positions of the arc-extinguishing cover 12, there are provided engaging hooks 2b to be engaged with an upper frame 1, and in the facing positions of the above, there are provided non-engaging parts 2c which are not to be engaged with the upper frame 1.
