Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for integrating an order management system with execution facilities. According to the invention, at least one trade in an order management system (OMS) is selected to be or otherwise made available to be worked in an execution platform (EP). Order information in the OMS, corresponding to the at least one trade, is sent from the OMS to the EP without committing the underlying shares for the trade. It is determined if the EP is attempting to generate, or has generated, an executable trade order corresponding to the order information received from the OMS. If the determining step is positive, the shares corresponding to the executable order are committed in the OMS.
