The lamp (1) has an LED light source (5) provided between two end-sided contacts (3, 3'). A rear-coupling based current regulating circuit (6) is provided between the LED light source and one of the contacts for controlling the current passing through the LED light source. A flow-regulated current path of the current regulating circuit is connected in series with the LED light source. Another flow-regulated current path of the current regulating circuit is connected parallel to the LED light source.
