<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm system which is arranged in a vehicle having a smart entry system, and positively exerts anti-burglary effect even when a portable machine approaches a vehicle during output of an alarm. <P>SOLUTION: The alarm system is formed of: a door 20 openably arranged in a door opening of the vehicle; a lock device arranged in the door, and unlockable/lockable by an actuator; a collating means 110 for receiving an identification signal transmitted from the portable machine 200 in a predetermined communication range, and performing collation; a lock device control means for driving the lock device, based on a collation result by the collating means; and an alarm output means for selecting a monitoring mode and a non-monitoring mode of the system, and outputting an alarm when a predetermined burglarized state is detected in the monitoring mode.
