<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter-integrated type motor in which a motor and an inverter are efficiently integrated, and also to provide a semiconductor chip which can be utilized in that motor. <P>SOLUTION: IGBT chips 1 and 3 are constituted by arranging an emitter terminal E at the crest of one side face of a die having a surface shape of an equilateral triangle, a gate terminal G on the side opposite to the crest, and a collector terminal on the face of the other side. Power semiconductor modules 10 and 30 are constituted by abutting the crest portion having the emitter terminal E of the IGBT chip 1. An inverter 50 for converting a DC power into a three-phase AC power is constituted by arranging the six power semiconductor modules 10 and 30 in a regular hexagon shape. The inverter-integrated type motor is constituted by disposing the inverter 50 at the end portion of the motor such that the center of the regular hexagon inverter 50 and the axis of rotation of the motor are aligned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
