<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly express positional relation between objects inside a virtual space. <P>SOLUTION: A storage part 201 stores: character object information 251 indicating a position and a shape of a character object; surface object information 252 indicating a position and a shape of a surface object; and light source information 253 indicating a position of a light source. A calculation part 202 calculates a shadow of the character object projected on the surface object by the light source based on the character object information 251, the surface object information 252, and the light source information 253. When it is distinguished by a distinction part 203 that the character object and the surface object are in contact with each other, a change part 204 changes brightness of the shadow according to a distance between the character object and the surface object.
