Embodiments of the present invention provide a dual system based mounting method and system for an external storage device (100), wherein the dual systems comprise a first operating system and a second operating system. The mounting method comprises: sending a mounting request to the second operating system through the first operating system when an external storage device is mounted on the second operating system (S301); unmounting the external storage device mounted on the second operating system after the second operating system receives the mounting request (S302); and mounting the external storage device on the first operating system after the external storage device is successively unmounted from the second operating system (S303). In this way, the operation steps of mounting an external storage device can be greatly simplified in dual systems, so that usage of a user is facilitated, and user experience is improved. |
